Spirit, Saginaw Valley Bone and Joint Center Grow Commitment to Strength and Conditioning Program

The Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club and Saginaw Valley Bone and Joint Center have renewed their commitment to the team's strength and conditioning program with on-site consultation and training program consultation. The Spirit have worked with the medical staff of Saginaw Valley Bone and Joint Center to ensure the health and safe conditioning of its players since the teams inception in 2002.

"Saginaw Valley Bone and Joint Center is very happy to expand our working relationship with the Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club," stated Certified Athletic Trainer and Orthopaedic Technologist Toby Blosser, "We have been the Orthopaedic Surgeon Consultants since day one and we are pleased to provide strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation to the Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club. I am excited to help further develop these young professional's strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility and prepare them for the next level. I am also excited about the competitiveness in providing the rehabilitation to the injured athletes and helping them return back to the ice as soon, and as safe, as possible."

The upcoming issue of FACE OFF, the official Saginaw Spirit Yearbook, will feature more on the team's strength and conditioning program. The yearbook will hit the Spirit newsstands October 17, 2009.

The Spirit start the season on the road with two games, the first against the Guelph Storm on Friday, September 18 at 7:30 PM. The Spirit take on the Owen Sound Attack on Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 PM. Fans can listen to both games live on FM Talk and Sports 100.5

The Spirit host the Meijer Home Opening Celebration on Thursday, September 24 against the Plymouth Whalers and Saturday, September 26 against the Erie Otters. Both games start at 7:11 PM.
