Tim Hortons "Future Majors" Program Returns

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors are excited to be re-launching the Future Majors program in 2009-10 with Tim Hortons as the title sponsor.

Majors co-coach James Boyd and select Majors players will be visiting participating minor hockey teams throughout the year leading fun and interactive practice sessions while helping players and coaches improve their hockey skills.

This season the Tim Hortons Future Majors program will be open to Tyke to Novice categories. As part of the program this season, each team participating in the program will also be given 50 Red-Level seating tickets to a Majors regular season home game during 2009-10, courtesy of Tim Hortons.

The program was created to provide an extensive mentoring program that would assist with the physical development of young, hockey athletes in the community. Minor hockey teams interested in registering for the program for the 2009-10 season must complete the Tim Hortons Future Majors application form available online at the Majors website (www.stmichaelsmajors.com).

Mississauga's regular season begins with a visit to the home of the Brampton Battalion this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Home opener will take place on Friday, October 2 with a tilt against the Battalion at 7:30 p.m. A complete list of the Majors 2009-10 regular season schedule is available at the Majors website.
