
Spirit Play Host to Steelheads on Frozen Night

SAGINAW, MI. - The defending West Division Champion Saginaw Spirit face-off against the Mississauga Steelheads for the first of two meetings this season Saturday evening. The puck drop is at 7:05 p.m at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, MI.
The Spirit are 12-3-2-0 at home all-time against the Toronto St. Michael's, Mississauga St. Michael's, Mississauga Steelheads franchise since the Spirit's inception in 2002, including nine straight home victories from 2005-2014.
The Saginaw Spirit are averaging 3,300 fans in their first 10 games of the season, nearly 500 more fans per game than this time last season. The Spirit averaged 3,413 fans over their 34-game 2018-19 regular season schedule, which led all american teams in the Ontario Hockey League.
This game marks the return of the annual FROZEN Night at The Dow. Anna and Elsa from the hit movie FROZEN will be in the Budweiser Red Room from 6-8 p.m.ÃÂ Puck drop will be at 7:05 p.m. at the Dow Event Center.
Arrive early to the Budweiser Red Room for the "90-minute power play" featuring $2 domestic beers, $2 hot dogs, and $2 ice cream cups up until puck drop at 7:05 p.m.
Fans can tune into tonight's game live on 100.5 Newsradio WSGW, www.wsgw.com, and iHeartRadio beginning at 6:50 p.m. with host Charley Porter. The voices of the Spirit, Joey Battaino and Art Lewis have the play-by-play coverage at 7:05 p.m.

Last Saturday's game that was postponed against the Guelph Storm hasÃÂ been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 4 at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets from the Saturday game will be honored at the rescheduled game. If you are unable to attend the December 4 game, the Spirit will exchange your ticket for a future 2019-2020 regular season game.
The Saginaw Spirit will wear their Military Appreciation jerseys during First Responders Night on Saturday, November 23, when they host the Windsor Spitfires at 7:05 p.m.. There will be a live auction immediately following the game.
On Friday, November 1st, the Spirit played the Barrie Colts for the first time this season. The Spirit fell in a shootout, 4-3 at The Dow Event Center.
