(Sarnia, ON) The Saginaw Spirit wrapped up the preseason with a 4-0 exhibition win over the Sarnia Sting Thursday night. Reported scorers for Saginaw were Garret Ross, Jordan Skellett, Josh Shalla and Vincent Trocheck. Goalie Andrew Peters anchored the net for the duration of the contest.
The team will start the 2009-2010 regular season on the road, with a game against the Guelph Storm Friday, September 18 at 7:30 PM and a contest against the Owen Sound Attack on Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 PM.
The Meijer Home Opening Celebration will mark the return of Spirit Hockey to The Dow Event Center, with the Spirit hosting their home opener against the Plymouth Whalers on Thursday, September 24 at 7:11 PM. The Spirit host the Erie Otters on Saturday, September 26 at 7:11 PM for the home opening encore.
