
Spikes Week-Long Homestand Filled With Value

STATE COLLEGE, PA --- State College Spikes fans will have an opportunity to go around the horn and enjoy each of the club's "Daily Fan Value Promotions" as part of the club's upcoming seven-day homestand at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, which opens this Sunday evening at 6:05 p.m. and concludes on the Fourth of July.
The Spikes will host the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians) in a three-game set from Sunday to Tuesday, the Auburn Doubledays (Toronto Blue Jays) for three days from Wednesday, July 1 to Friday, July 3 and then will close the stanza with a Fourth of July contest at 1 p.m. against the Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies).
Making their promotional debuts at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will be "Dollar Dog Monday" on Monday the 29th at 7:05 p.m., "Buck Bleacher Tuesday" on Tuesday the 30th at 7:05 p.m., "Half Price Wednesday" on Wednesday the 1st at 7:05 p.m., "Kids Eat Free Thursday" on Thursday the 2nd at 7:05 p.m. and "Scratch 'n Win Saturday" on July 4th at 1 p.m. In addition, "4 for $44 Friday", which debuted last Friday as part of the Season Opener will return on Friday the 3rd at 7:05 p.m.
"Dollar Dog Monday" will give fans the opportunity to chow down on $1 hot dogs all game long. For "Buck Bleacher Tuesday" fans pay just $1 for a ticket in the Outfield Bleacher section at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. "Half Price Wednesday" offers fans a half-price Outfield Bleacher ticket along with half-price 16 ounce beer, small sodas, hot dogs and hamburgers from one hour prior to the game to one hour into the game. "Kids Eat Free Thursday" provides all children 12 and under with a voucher for a free hot dog, chips and soda. On "4 for $44 Friday", fans purchasing this great deal will receive four Diamond Club (100 level) seats, four hot dogs and four small sodas for only $11 per person. "Scratch 'n Win Saturday" provides all fans with a scratch off ticket which guarantees that all fans are a winner of great food, ticket and merchandise deals and prizes.
Sunday's homestand opener will be the second "Summer Blast Off Sunday", featuring post-game fireworks, a pre-game fan catch on the field and post-game "Kids Run the Bases". Additionally, this Sunday, the Spikes will host the first of their Youth Baseball Clinics, where youngsters 14 and under can learn baseball fundamentals from Spikes players. Registration is at 11 a.m. and the clinic will run from 12-2 p.m. The clinic is free when showing a valid game ticket to Sunday's 6:05 p.m. contest against Mahoning Valley.
