Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
PENSACOLA, FL. (July 28, 2015) - The Pensacola Ice Flyers are excited to announce that the reigning SPHL scoring champion, forward Adam Pawlick, has been signed to play back in Pensacola for the 2015-16 season.
"Adam has been an elite professional player from the first day he became an Ice Flyer two years ago," head coach Rod Aldoff stated. "It's a great honor to have him sign with us for another season."
Pawlick played in all 56 games last season, scoring 32 goals, adding 34 assists, totalling 66 points and finished the season with a plus-16 rating. This made him the inaugural recipient of the Kevin Swider Leading Scorer Award. Pawlick was also named to the 2014-15 All-SPHL First Team.
"I'm very excited and thankful to have re-signed with the Ice Flyers," Pawlick commented. "Coach Aldoff, owner Greg Harris and the Ice Flyer fans have made Pensacola a great place to play hockey."
In his rookie campaign the season before last, Pawlick tallied 27 goals with 14 helpers for 41 points in 56 games. He was a member of the Ice Flyers league and regular season championship team in 2013-14. Pawlick played NCAA Division I college hockey at the Clarkson University prior to joining the Ice Flyers.
"Adam competes at the highest level everyday and is the same person day in and day out on and off the ice," Aldoff added. "His game is a complete 200-foot game and I know what I'm going to get out of him everyday. It's great to have him back."
"The Ice Flyer fans are the best in the SPHL and it's always fun to play in The Hangar and compete for a championship," Pawlick finished.
Pawlick will be attending camp with the Fort Wayne Komets of the higher level ECHL where former Ice Flyers head coach Gary Graham is entering his third season as head coach.
