Special Jerseys and Gainer Visit Saturday, Highlight Raiders Week

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders kick off a four game Western Hockey League home stand this week entertaining the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday at the Art Hauser Centre at 7:00 PM. On Saturday when the Moose Jaw Warriors visit the Raiders will be wearing special Canada jerseys that will be auctioned off immediately following the game in the Ches Leach Lounge.

SGI Take Care Out There Presentation at W.F.A.Turgeon School

Dustin Cameron, Jordan Rowley, Brendon Wall and Garret Taylor will visit W.F.A. Turgeon School along with members of the RCMP, City of Prince Albert Police Service and Parkland Ambulance and give a presentation on making healthy lifestyle choices.

Olympic Torch Community Skate - 5:00-6:30 PM - Art Hauser Centre

To kick off 5 days of celebrations leading up to the arrival of the Olympic Torch Relay in Prince Albert Monday, January 11, all members of the Raiders will take part in a free community skate from 5-6:30 PM at the Art Hauser Centre. Many draw prizes will be available and teams can register to stand on the final corridor when the Olympic Torch is ignited Monday at the event!

Friday, January 8

Lethbridge Hurricanes at Raiders - 7:00 PM - Art Hauser Centre

Power 99 Spinoza Bear Presentation - Chad McDonald of Power 99 will make another pre-game presentation to a young person deserving of a Spinoza Bear! Also the Prince Albert Olympic Torch Relay Committee will be handing out mini Canada and Torch Relay flags to all fans. Former Olympian Kelsie Hendry will be on hand signing autographs prior to the game in the Johnny Bower Lobby.

Saturday, January 9

Moose Jaw Warriors at Raiders - 7:00 PM - Art Hauser Centre

Canada Jersey/Olympic Torch Relay Night. The Raiders will be wearing replica jerseys of the 1961 World Champion Trail Smoke Eaters. Following the game the jerseys will be auctioned off in the Ches Leach Lounge by Myron Schmaltz of Schmaltz Auctions with proceeds to the Raider Education Fund. The pre-game puck drop ceremony will feature Torch Relay Chair Lisa Davis, Mayor Jim Scarrow, Saskatchewan VANOC Volunteer representatives Allan and Cindy Chizek and others. Saskatchewan Roughrider mascot Gainer the Gopher also will be a special guest at the game.
