Sparks to Host "Farmers Insurance Night" Tonight

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Sparks will host "Farmers Insurance Night" tonight at 6:00pm at STAPLES Center as the Sparks take on the New York Liberty.
To celebrate our Marquee Partnership with Farmers Insurance, the night's festivities tip-off with all Season Ticket Holders, (MVPs), receiving an exclusive Lisa Leslie Growth Chart poster and the opportunity to "Enter to Win" a $500 Visa gift card courtesy of Farmers Insurance when they enter the MVP Entrance. Farmers Insurance will also provide 5000 Rally Towels to be dispersed throughout the crowd during the game, Farmers employees will participate in on-court Farmers Insurance Teddy Bear tosses to fans and Farmers agents will be on hand to supply free digital child I.D. CD ROMs and free Fire Facts CDs for families. Farmers Insurance has also provided 40 tickets and backpacks filled with Sparks and Farmers Insurance goodies to children from A Chance for Children Foundation.
The Sparks will also recognize another partner, Right to Play with a half-time demonstration of the work they do around the world. Right to Play uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills and foster peace for children around the world. Sparks center, Lisa Leslie was recently named an Athlete Ambassador for Right to Play and will travel to Africa in the fall to support their initiatives.
The final component of "Farmers Insurance Night" will feature a celebration of women in sports. Members of the Los Angeles Sol will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take photos. The Sparks will also give free admission to the game to any girl wearing a jersey/uniform with a paid adult admission.

The Los Angeles Sparks are entering their 13th season in the Women's National Basketball Association. The Sparks are one of the five original teams still operating in the WNBA.
