
Sparks Sign Forward Rae Burrell to Hardship Contract

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Sparks announced today the signing of Rae Burrell to a hardship contract.
The Las Vegas native was drafted 9th overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. She appeared in three games for the Sparks in 2022 before undergoing season ending knee surgery. She was waived on May 16, 2023, during training camp.
Burrell attended the University of Tennessee for all four years of her collegiate career. In her breakout junior season, she averaged 16.8 points per game, shooting 45.8% on field goals and 82% from the free-throw line.
