
Spain Drops Opener to Japan, Despite 15 Points from Megan Gustafson

In her debut game for Spain (0-1), Aces center Megan Gustafson shot 7-of-9 from the field and tallied 15 points and 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. Despite her effort, the Spanish squad dropped its opener to Japan (1-0), 86-75, on Thursday afternoon in Sopron, Hungary.
Despite the loss, Spain is still in contention for one of the three Olympic berths out of its four-team tournament in Hungary, and will take on Canada (1-0) on February 9 at 6:30 am PT before facing host Hungary in their third and final game of the weekend on February 11 at 8:30 am PT.
