SUPER SPACE COWBOYS: The Space Cowboys announced their end-of-season awards prior to Thursday's game. The following players won the Space Cowboys awards:
Corey Julks - Player of the Year - Julks leads the Space Cowboys with 29 home runs, 84 RBI, a .505 slugging percentage, 135 hits, 54 extra-base hits and 95 runs. Julks, who's second on the team with stolen bases, became the first player in Space Cowboys with a season that included at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases. Julks has set Space Cowboys single-game records in home runs, RBI, hits, runs and extra-base hits.
Hunter Brown - Pitcher of the Year - At the time of his promotion to the Astros on Sept. 1 , Brown led the Pacific Coast League with a 2.55 ERA, 134 strikeouts and a .186 opponent's batting average, and was second with a 1.08 WHIP.
Alex De Goti - Defender of the Year - De Goti was an the most versatile member of the Space Cowboys defense. He appeared in over 25 games at each of the second base, shortstop and third base positions. He's recorded a combined .984 fielding percentage across his appearances at second base, shortstop and third base this season.
Enoli Paredes - Reliever of the Year - Paredes has logged a team-leading 10 saves on the year while going 5-4 with a 2.73 ERA in 48 appearances. Paredes' 2.73 ERA is the fifth lowest of PCL pitchers with at least 50 innings.
THE FIREMEN: The Space Cowboys bullpen has not allowed a run in 22 consecutive innings, with the Space Cowboys going 4-1 over that stretch. The Space Cowboys have recorded a 3.33 ERA as an entire pitching staff in September, which leads the Pacific Coast League and trails just Scranton Wilkes-Barre (3.19 ERA) of all Triple A teams.
