VIVE LA JP: JP France matched his Triple A career high and the Space Cowboys season high with 10 strikeouts through five innings on Wednesday. France on Thursday was named the Space Cowboys June Player of the Month. In the month of June, he leads the Pacific Coast League in strikeouts (63), is second in WHIP (0.97), fourth in ERA (2.92) and seventh in opponent's batting average (.220). On the season, he's second in the PCL with 83 strikeouts and seventh with a 4.62 ERA. His 11.98 strikeouts-per-nine-innings is second-best of Triple A pitchers (min. 60 IP).

ON THE HUNT: Hunter Brown, who's scheduled to start Thursday, leads the Pacific Coast League with 85 strikeouts, is second with a 2.66 ERA, first with a .193 opponent's batting average and third with a 1.16 WHIP. His 12.54 SO/9 is best off all Triple A pitchers and eighth-best of all MiLB pitchers (min. 60 IP). Brown was named Astros Minor League Pitcher of the Month for May.

TAYLOR MADE: Over his last five games, Taylor Jones has hit .400 (8x20) with three doubles and four RBI. Jones began the season on the 60-Day IL with lower back discomfort. He was optioned to the Space Cowboys on June 23.
