
Sox Split Double Header in Yuma

The Reno Silver Sox won game one of a Wednesday double header in Yuma by a final of 5-3 and lost game two immediately after by a score of 6-3.
In game one, Dusty Bergman earned his fifth win of the season pitching 6.1 innings allowing three runs on five hits. Eric Thomas came in to relieve Bergman in the final inning to earn his fourth save of the year.
SS Maurice Cole led the team offensively in game one, scoring three runs in the seven inning game.
CF Victor Hall hit his eight home run of the year over the left field fence in the first inning of game one.
In game two, the Scorpions extended an early lead when 1B AJ Valentine hit a three run home run, mounting what would prove to be a lead they would not surrender.
Hall hit his second home run of the day for Reno to give him nine on the season 2B Mike Done collected two hits and DH Kane Simmons scored two runs.
The final game of this series is Thursday night with a pregame show beginning at 6:45 on ESPN Radio 630.
The Sox return home Monday to battle the St. George Roadrunners in Reno.
