
Sox, Raptors split a pair

Great Falls, MT Tonight the Great Falls White Sox defeated the Ogden Raptors 5-0 at Centene Stadium in the conclusion of the first game. Matt Nachreiner (4-2) picked up the win for the Sox as he worked four shutout innings out of the bullpen. The loss went to Cody White (1-3) as he worked four innings, allowing one run on three hits.
Great Falls scored first in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Francisco Hernandez. Garrett Guest added a fifth inning sac fly and Brandon Johnson had a run scoring single to put the Sox up 3-0. Then in the eighth inning, two more runs scored. One on a passed ball the other on a wild pitch and the Sox went on to a 5-0 win.
In the second game, Great Falls fell 4-0 to the Ogden Raptors. Travis Doyle (2-2) took the loss for the Sox as he worked four innings, allowing one run on four hits. Brent Leach (5-3) picked up the win as he worked six shutout innings of to hit ball.
The Raptors scored first in the second on an infield single by Shane Justis. They would make it 2-0 in the fifth when Rick Taloa had an RBI hit to bring in Justice. Ogden would then add two more in the sixth on a Kingshill Pujols sacrifice fly and another Justice RBI hit. Ogden would go on to the 4-0 win.
Tomorrow night the Sox will hit the road to take on the Missoula Osprey in the first of a three game series. The starters for the game are: Noe Rodriguez (LHP) for Great Falls and Matt Green (RHP) for Missoula. Game time is at 7:05pm and can be heard on 560AM-KMON starting at 6:50.
