
Sox Bust Outlaws in Chico

The Reno Silver Sox defeated the Chico Outlaws 7-2 Thursday night in Chico.
3B Carlos Madrid got things started for the Sox in the first inning, driving in a pair of runs. LF Kane Simmons and CF Victor Hall each drove in a run in the fourth inning. Simmons doubled twice on the evening.
SS Maurice Cole and RF Ryan Kowalski both scored in the seventh inning, both players made their professional debuts on Wednesday for the Silver Sox and then started the game on Thursday.
Reno starting pitcher Matt Parris pitched five and two thirds innings allowing two runs on the way to earning his third victory of the season. Chico starter Tyler Pearson took the loss pitching six and a third innings allowing all seven runs.
Reno returns home on Saturday to face St. George, who recently snapped a 14 game losing streak in Yuma.
