Amarillo ThunderHeads News Release

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Sox announced a partnership with Amarillo Tri-State Ford on a car giveaway promotion for all 50 home games of the 2012 season.

If the Amarillo Sox batters score exactly seven runs in the seventh inning of a home game, one lucky fan will receive their choice of a 2012 Ford Focus, Fusion or Escape, courtesy of Tri-State Ford. No purchase is necessary to enter. At all Sox home games, fans can sign up at the Tri-State Ford kiosk. In the event of a seven-run seventh inning, one name will be randomly drawn to receive the vehicle.

All entrants must be 18 years of age or older, be a legal U.S. resident and have a valid driver's license.

This promotion will run all 50 games of the 2012 season, with the possibility of 50 winners. Once a fan has won one vehicle, they cannot win again.

"This is just another opportunity for us to give back to our fans," said Sox assistant general manager Jaylin Johnson. "We have the best fans in baseball and it adds another level of excitement to an already exciting game."

The price of the vehicle will be covered by the promotion, but Texas state law requires the winner to cover the cost of tax, title and license.

For more information, contact the Sox office.

The 2012 season begins on Friday, May 18. Individual and season tickets are currently on sale and are available for purchase in-person by visiting the Sox Front Offices at 801 S. Polk or over the phone by calling (806) 242-4653. For more information on tickets, game times and schedules, promotions, marketing opportunities, and everything else Sox, visit the "Official Website of the Amarillo Sox" at www.amarillosox.com.
