Lemurs open Uni-Trade Stadium with win

Laredo, TX - The Laredo Lemurs opened up the new Uni-Trade Stadium with a 5-1

victory over the defending champion Grand Prairie Airhogs.

Lemurs starting pitcher Todd Privett pitched five strong innings, giving one run on five

hits to earn the win.

Three Lemurs relief pitchers combined to shut down the Airhogs in the final four frames

to help the team clinch the victory.

Yunesky Sanchez went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI to lead the Lemurs

offense. John Allen also chipped in with two hits of his own for Laredo Lemurs.

The first hit in the new Uni-Trade Stadium came off the bat of Airhogs second

baseman Bridger Hunt.

The first homerun in Uni-Trade Stadium was hit by Airhogs first baseman Trent

Lockwood.

Jeff Vincent collected two first for the Laredo Lemurs as he got the first team hit and

scored the first team run.

The series will continue tomorrow night at 7:30pm at the Uni-Trade Stadium.
