Southern League Announces More Year-End Awards

TRAINER OF THE YEAR

DAVID YEAGER - HUNTSVILLE STARS

The Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs is pleased to announce that David Yeager of the Huntsville Stars has been named its 2007 Athletic Trainer of the Year, as selected by his peers and honored by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS). Yeager, who earned his Bachelor's Degree at Auburn University and Master's Degree at Jacksonville State University, is in his third season as Stars trainer. He also served as trainer for the North Division in the 2007 Southern League All-Star Game. Yeager resides in Athens, AL with his wife Wendy and their son "Duke."

GROUNDSKEEPER OF THE YEAR

BO HENLEY - CHATTANOOGA LOOKOUTS

The Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs is pleased to announce that Bo Henley of the Chattanooga Lookouts has been named its 2007 Groundskeeper of the Year, as selected by the league's field managers and umpires. Henley is in his sixth consecutive season as groundskeeper at AT&T Field. He also was the Lookouts groundskeeper in 1996-97, when the team played at Engel Stadium. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State, Henley resides in Red Bank, TN with his wife Mindy and their daughter Emma.

BEST VISITING CLUBHOUSE ATTENDANT

SHANE ROSSETTI - MONTGOMERY BISCUITS

The Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs is pleased to announce that Shane Rossetti of the Montgomery Biscuits has been named its 2007 Visiting Clubhouse Attendant of the Year, as voted upon by the league's field managers and umpires. Rossetti is the second Biscuit to win the award in as many years, following 2006 recipient Matt Gallant. Although 2007 is Rossetti's first year with Montgomery, it is his third season working in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays system. He was with Orlando in 2003 and Princeton in 2005. A native of Concord, NH, Rossetti spends his offseasons coaching hockey and officiating soccer and basketball at the high school level.
