
South Division series shifts to Midland

Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
After defeating Midland in the first two games of the Texas League South Division Series at Whataburger Field, the Corpus Christi Hooks seek a sweep of the RockHounds at 6:30 tonight in Citibank Ballpark.
Right-hander Chance Douglass (7-8; 3.52) takes the mound for Corpus Christi against left-hander Ray Aguilar (12-7; 4.54).
Strong starting performances by Juan Gutierrez and Troy Patton keyed 3-0 and 6-3 victories Tuesday and Wednesday. Closer Paul Estrada saved both games for the Hooks, who compiled a 76-63 overall record in regular-season play.
Right fielder Hunter Pence (.500/2 RBIs), left fielder Jorge Cortes (.429), shortstop Osvaldo Fernando (.333/3 RBIs) and third baseman Mark Saccomanno (.250/2 RBIs) have paced the Hooks offensively in the playoffs.

TLCS TICKETS ON SALE
Tickets for potential Texas League Championship Series games at Whataburger Field are on sale at the box office. Hours are 9-5 weekdays, 10-4 Saturdays and noon-4 Sundays.

The first game of the TLCS at Whataburger Field (Game 3 overall) would take place next Thursday, September 14, at 7:05. The fourth and fifth games of the TLCS, if necessary, would be played at Whataburger Field on Friday, September 15 and Saturday the 16th, if necessary.
