DES MOINES, Iowa - Wednesday afternoon's scheduled 12:05 p.m. contest between the Nashville Sounds and Iowa Cubs has been postponed due rain. No makeup date has been announced.
This marks the second rainout in the past seven days for Nashville, which also had its scheduled homestand finale rained out last Thursday.
The Sounds and I-Cubs will continue their series with a 6:35 p.m. meeting on Thursday evening. Right-hander Johnny Hellweg (1-1, 4.00) is scheduled to make the start for Nashville and face Iowa right-hander Nick Struck (0-1, 6.00).
