Sounders FC to Honor Career of Legendary Defender Chad Marshall Next Saturday

Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - Next Saturday, June 29, as Sounders FC takes on Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a Cascadia Cup matchup, the Rave Green plan to honor the career of Chad Marshall, who announced his retirement from professional soccer last month.
Sounders FC invites all fans to attend Saturday's match and arrive early to take part in the pre-match ceremony to show support for Marshall and to celebrate his career. Fans should plan to be in their seats no later than 6:45 p.m. PT so as not to miss the pre-match activities.
Following a 16-year Major League Soccer career with Sounders FC and Columbus Crew SC, in which he became the only player in league history to be named MLS Defender of the Year three times and won five major trophies (including two MLS Cups), Marshall's contributions to the game can not be overstated.
The first 10,000 guests will receive an exclusive Marshall face cutout giveaway, courtesy of Starbucks. The giveaway celebrates Marshall's well-known and loved place as a lighthearted force in the locker room and is a must-have collectible for any Sounders fan as they celebrate Marshall's decorate career.
