Seattle Sounders FC News Release

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC today reminds media and fans of the details surrounding its 2018 Alliance Annual Business Meeting - a yearly event that brings together both team and Alliance leadership to review the season and look ahead to the club's future. This year's meeting is being held tomorrow evening, Tuesday, November 13, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. PT inside The Ninety.

Members of the media wishing to cover this event should RSVP with a member of Sounders FC Communications by close of business today, as seating is limited inside the venue.

With all spots for in-person attendance for Season Ticket Members currently filled, fans interested in watching the event can once again join in the evening's meeting via a livestream on SoundersFC.com. Questions for Sounders FC and Alliance leadership can also be submitted by those unable to attend in person.

This year's meeting also features the results of Sounders FC's General Manager vote. The vote, a unique opportunity for fans to have a voice in the club's direction, was open to all Alliance members and voting closed on October 17. The vote allows members of the team's Alliance the opportunity to cast either a vote of retention or a vote of no confidence every four years of a general manager's time in office. In 2012, the club held its first-ever GM vote, with Owner and then-General Manager Adrian Hanauer retained with a 96.3% approval rating and 13,775 votes cast by Alliance members. Current General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey was hired prior to the 2015 season, marking 2018 as his fourth full season as GM and providing an opportunity for fans to vote on his retention.
