Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC is devastated for the people of Morocco following the tragic earthquake that recently struck the High Atlas region.
During our club's visit to their beautiful country earlier this year for the FIFA Club World Cup, our hosts were exceedingly kind and welcoming to our organization. Their legendary hospitality made us feel right at home, and now it's our turn to step up and support them during this time of need.
To back the ongoing relief efforts, Sounders FC is recommending the following organization to our fans: Helping Hand for Relief & Development's Morocco Earthquake Relief Fund. Our club is making a financial contribution to this group, and we hope that the greater Sounders community will lend its support as well.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Morocco. We are with you during this grief-stricken time.
