Sounders FC Reveal Pitch Black Third Kit

RENTON, Wash. - Seattle Sounders FC revealed its third kit for the 2014 season today. The p rimary and secondary kits will remain the same from 2013.

The third kit features a Pitch Black jersey accented with radiant green trim, shorts and socks. The adidas 3-Stripes on the shoulders fade from green to black. Inside the jersey, along the collar, is a glossy "soundwave" design that represents the energy of the fans.

The crest is two colors with a lenticular or magnified Space Needle in the background. This detail is also included on the shorts. All authentic Pitch Black jerseys will include the 40th Anniversary logo.

There is an iconic band on the back of the jersey, above the players name and number, which represents motion in a salute to the World Cup and Brazilian influence.

The new kit is one of the lightest jerseys and features adidas ClimaCool technology for temperature regulation and moisture management.

Fans can purchase the Pitch Black jersey online through the team's website, the downtown Pro Shop located at 410 Pike Street, Pro Shop at CenturyLink Field or on match day.
