SEATTLE, WASH. - After a 3-2 stoppage time defeat against Orlando City SC at Exploria Stadium on Wednesday, Seattle Sounders FC (10-15-3, 33 points) returns home for the first time in almost a month to take on Houston Dynamo FC (8-15-5, 29 points) tonight at Lumen Field (6:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, Prime Video, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM). The match marks the 24th time these two sides have faced off in the regular season, with Seattle holding a 12-5-6 advantage, including a 6-1-0 mark in its previous seven matchups.
The fixture proves critical for Seattle, who currently sits in 10th place in the Western Conference with 33 points, six points behind the final playoff spot. Houston currently sits in 12th place in the Western Conference with 29 points.
Following tonight's matchup, Sounders FC stays at home as it takes on Austin FC on Saturday, September 10 (5:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, Prime Video, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
