Sounders FC Loans Kovar and Okoli to OC Blues

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC has loaned midfielder Aaron Kovar and forward Sean Okoli to the Orange County Blues of the USL-PRO, the club announced today. Both players will be recalled to Sounders FC on June 14.

Both players will be available to the Blues for two upcoming road matches before returning to Seattle. Orange County visits Orlando City SC on June 11 and the Charlotte Eagles on June 13. They join Sounders FC goalkeeper Josh Ford, who was loaned to the Blues on June 6.

Kovar, 20, and Okoli, 21, were both signed as Homegrown Players on January 8, 2014. Kovar has played all 450 minutes in Seattle's five reserve league games this season, recording two assists. Okoli has logged 405 minutes of reserve league action with one assist, and has also made two substitute appearances for the first team, logging 18 minutes.

Sounders FC hosts PSA Elite in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, June 18. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. PT at Starfire Stadium.
