Sounders FC Hosts the LA Galaxy this Wednesday as the Rave Green Look to Clinch Postseason Berth

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC today announced activities surrounding the club's home match this Wednesday against the LA Galaxy (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Presented by matchday sponsor Emerald Queen Casino, the evening marks the Rave Green's return to their home pitch following a three-match road trip. Fans are encouraged to come out and support Sounders FC in its critical final home matches of the 2023 regular season as the club, currently sitting in third in the Western Conference, looks to clinch its spot in the MLS Cup playoffs.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday and fans wishing to take part in the Emerald City Supporters' official March to Match are encouraged to join from Occidental Square Park, where the march departs at 6:30 p.m. PT on its way to Lumen Field.

Outside of the northwest gates are several fun, interactive activities in which fans can participate ahead of the match, including:

A brightly wrapped Sounders FC Prius marks the spot for Western Washington Toyota Dealers, where a variety of Sounders prizes are available to win.

Stop by the RAD Power Bikes setup to take a spin on an e-bike outside of the stadium, with those who complete a test ride entered to win a custom RAD power bike.

Once in the stadium, fans can enjoy the continuation of Sounders FC's BIPOC and diverse-owned food truck and pop-up restaurants, presented by First & Goal Inc. and Levy. Curated by Intentionalist, these local small businesses align with Sounders FC's social impact and cultural calendar, giving fans the opportunity to discover new culinary delights with food trucks in Lumen Field's North Plaza and a pop-up restaurant location in Lumen Field's PNW Marketplace concessions area, located in the east concourse outside of Section 113.

Wednesday's lineup celebrates Latinx Heritage Month, featuring all Latinx-owned businesses. Food trucks on location include Little Chicken Burger, serving big taste with a variety of burgers and chicken sandwiches, and MexiCuban, delivering a unique fusion of flavors, including signature Fluffy Tacos and Cuban sandwiches. The PNW Marketplace features Maíz, a local business passionate about preserving traditional corn seeds by creating, serving and spreading non-GMO heirloom corn through its menu of sopes, gorditas, tamales and tacos with house-made nixtamalized masa.

Ahead of Indigenous Peoples' Day on October 9, the Burke Museum is onsite at Lumen Field on Wednesday evening to host the interactive Living Traditions Mini Museum, a program with activities, collections and exhibits focusing on seven themes: Food, Fishing, Community, Home, Tools, Canoes, and Arts. Guests can learn more about the diverse cultures of the Native Peoples of the Pacific Northwest who are living modern lives while practicing long-established traditions.

Throughout the stadium, fans can explore and participate in a wide variety of activities, which on Wednesday include:

The Providence Challenge - Fans can test their soccer and mental skills through three different activities at The Providence Challenge, as well as having the opportunity to take the Providence Pledge to promise to better their mental health. All participating fans will be entered to win an autographed Sounders FC jersey or a pair of tickets to an upcoming home match.

Crossbar Challenge, Presented by Western Washington Toyota Dealers - The first five fans to hit the crossbar in this interactive skills challenge earn a chance to take a kick on-field at halftime. If a fan hits a crossbar at halftime, Western Washington Toyota Dealers donates $1,000 to RAVE Foundation.

Protect the Net, Presented by American Family Insurance - Fans can put their skills to the test in this virtual goalkeeping game for a chance to take home some co-branded swag.

Sounders Penalty Kick - A digital activation where fans get five chances to score a goal against a virtual goalkeeper.

Soccer Billiards - Fans can play a soccer-themed version of pool, challenging a partner and kicking colored soccer balls into the oversized pool table pockets before their opponent does.

RAVE 2026 Kick Experience - Learn about RAVE Foundation's 26 Fields by 2026 campaign and attempt to kick a soccer ball through a hole.

FIFA Gaming Station - Challenge an opponent to a friendly match of FIFA '23.

Lumen Lens- This augmented reality photobooth places fans in photos with their favorite players.

Sit & Soccer - A one-on-one table soccer game where fans attempt to outscore their opponent.

Scarves Up! Photo Activation - Raise a scarf and recreate the club's iconic matchday moment in this new photobooth.

Sounders 'Til I Die Instagram Wall - Themed photo opportunity for fans to grab the perfect social media shot.

At 6:45 p.m. PT, Bailadores de Bronce is set to entertain guests with a special performance in the North Plaza. Dedicated to promoting the beauty and richness of Mexican traditions through music and dance, Bailadores de Bronce seeks to create a bridge of understanding among all people by sharing culture, preserving traditions and instilling pride in youth. The organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023, with a special celebration at the Moore Theater on October 25. Fans can purchase tickets or learn more here.

With Latinx Heritage Month being celebrated nationwide from September 15 through October 15, MLS fans will notice players wearing Latinx Heritage Month-themed prematch tops during this period. Wednesday's prematch tops are being auctioned by Sounders FC's charitable partner RAVE Foundation, with proceeds supporting RAVE's work in Yakima.

Prior to kickoff, the club is also hosting a private Pro Sports Career Panel for Latinx-identifying youth from Sea Mar's Latino/a Education Advancement Program (LEAP). Attendees include students from high schools in Toppenish, Grainger and Tacoma and panel participants include Head Consul of the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle Héctor Iván Godoy Priske, Sounders FC Assistant Coach Freddy Juarez and Latinx-identifying staff from Sounders FC.

Members of the Puyallup Tribe are also in attendance on Wednesday evening, with Puyallup Tribe Cultural Director Connie McCloud leading a pitch blessing as part of the match's opening ceremonies. The Puyallup Tribe and its Emerald Queen Casino.

Wednesday's national anthem is being performed by Sounders matchday regular Jonathan Wright, with the "Scarves Up!" moment led by Head Consul of the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle Héctor Iván Godoy Priske.

At halftime, Sounders FC partner Regence BlueShield is presenting a check to RAVE Foundation representing funds raised through Regence's Corners for Community program and additional generous support for RAVE's newest mini-pitch at Benson Hill Elementary in Renton.
