Sounders FC and the City of Tukwila Invite Fans to Starfire Sports

SEATTLE, WASH. - On Wednesday, December 7, as Sounders FC completes its final home training session of the 2016 season at Starfire Sports in Tukwila, Washington, the club and the City of Tukwila announce that they have joined to invite fans to a championship send-off for their MLS Cup-bound team.

The club travels to Toronto on Wednesday afternoon to finish out its preparation for 2016 MLS Cup, which is being held at Toronto FC's BMO Field on Saturday, December 10. However, recognizing the importance of Seattle's supporters to the team's historic turnaround this season, Sounders FC encourages all fans to come out to this final day of training.

At 10:45 a.m. PT, fans in attendance may view the final 15 minutes of the day's training session before joining in cheers of support as players and coaches step off the training pitch at Starfire Sports and prepare to leave for their international clash. Please note that due to charter travel constraints, players may not be available for posed photos or autographs.

Space is limited in the practice viewing area and is available on a first-come, first-served basis, though there is plenty of space for all interested supporters to line the player walkway from the pitches to the locker room as the team heads inside.

As the proud home of Sounders FC's training facility, the City of Tukwila has helped organize the send-off event and is providing a complimentary shuttle service from the Sears parking lot at Westfield Southcenter Mall. There will be very limited fan parking available at Starfire Sports and fans wishing to attend the event should plan ahead to take advantage of the free shuttle, which will begin regular runs to and from Starfire Sports starting at 9:45 a.m. PT.

LOCATION : Starfire Sports; the final 15 minutes of training will be open to fans, but space is limited; in case of overflow fans are asked to gather along the path leading from Sounders FC's training pitches to the locker room, which will be clearly marked.

HOW: Fans wishing to attend should take advantage of the City of Tukwila-sponsored fan shuttles, as very limited parking at Starfire will be available. The free shuttles are set to run between the Sears parking lot at Westfield Southcenter Mall and Starfire Sports, beginning at 9:45 a.m. PT. Upon arrival at Sears, located off of Southcenter Parkway and Strander Boulevard, fans should look for the City of Tukwila tent.
