
Sound Tigers Announce Stacked Promotional Lineup

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, are pleased to reveal one of their most extensive and wide-ranging promotional lineups ever for the 2018-19 season. More than half of all Sound Tigers home games will feature a new or returning theme, or an exclusive giveaway item, adding to the excitement of the team's 18th season in the Park City.
The promotional calendar kicks off with the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m., featuring an all-new Sound Tigers backpack giveaway to the first 2,500 kids and a pre-game party with food and beverage specials on the plaza. Bridgeport will face the Buffalo Sabres' top affiliate, the Rochester Americans, in its matinee opener at Webster Bank Arena.
The fan-friendly promotional lineup also includes the return of popular themes like Hockey and Hops (Nov. 23 and Mar. 17), Military Appreciation (Jan. 12), Star Wars Night (Jan. 19) and Princess Night (Mar. 30). Regional hockey fans will be elated for the addition of Hockey Weekend in Connecticut (Feb. 23-24), while other new headliners include Holiday Gift Weekend (Dec. 15-16) and a revamped Teddy Bear Toss (Nov. 23).
In addition, special packages and attractive food and beverage offers continue to highlight Sunday home games, but at an even lower rate. Sunday 4-Packs will include four (4) tickets, four (4) hot dogs, four (4) bags of chips, four (4) sodas and two (2) Sound Tigers lunch tins for just $80.

Promotional Headliners:
Home Opener (Oct. 13): The Sound Tigers begin the home portion of their 18th season on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. with a backpack giveaway to the first 2,500 kids (14 years of age or younger) courtesy of All Electric Construction and Communication. Added family fun will be provided in the Kids Zone on the outdoor plaza, presented by Big Y, which returns after great success the past two years. Hockey & Hops (Nov. 23 and Mar. 17) / Teddy Bear Toss (Nov. 23): Due to its overwhelming popularity last season, the Sound Tigers are doubling up on their "Hockey and Hops" promotion, which returns for two dates this year. Enjoy a pre-game craft beer tasting party in the atrium on Friday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Mar. 17 presented by local breweries. A $25 ticket package will include game entry, access to the beer tasting event and souvenir puck bottle opener. In addition, the Sound Tigers are revamping "Teddy Bear Toss" for their Nov. 23 game. All fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal (or several) and toss it onto the ice when the Sound Tigers score their first goal. All toys will be donated to local organizations that benefit those less fortunate and all fans who bring a stuffed animal will be given a voucher to attend a future Sound Tigers game.
Holiday Gift Weekend (Dec. 15-16): Gifts of all shapes and sizes will be abundant on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16. The Sound Tigers will celebrate Holiday Gift Weekend by frequently handing out autographed team memorabilia, gift cards to local businesses, and more. In addition, Riverview Bistro will provide a pre-game meal for all ticket plan holders on Dec. 15.
Military Appreciation (Jan. 12): The Sound Tigers will honor heroes of the United States military, both past and present, with their annual Military Appreciation Night presented by the Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut on Saturday, Jan. 12. The first 2,000 fans will receive a camouflage baseball cap and all veterans and active duty personnel will receive a free ticket at the Webster Bank Arena Click It or Ticket Box Office. Military families can also receive discounted tickets. In addition, a $25 package will include a ticket to the game and a camouflage Sound Tigers t-shirt.
Star Wars Night (Jan. 19): If you're a Star Wars fanatic, then Saturday, Jan. 19 is for you! The first 3,000 fans will take home a special-edition Sound Tigers light saber and you're likely to bump into popular members of the Star Wars universe on the concourse. Ticket packages are available that feature access to the game and a voucher to see any movie at any Bow Tie Cinemas location starting at just $25.
Trading Card Giveaway Series (Nov. 11, Jan. 20, Mar. 23): The Sound Tigers will offer a three-part trading card giveaway series, featuring notable New York Islanders draft picks and other top prospects from the 2018-19 team. Collect them all by joining us on Sunday, Nov. 11, Sunday, Jan. 20, and Saturday, Mar. 23.
Stick It To Cancer Weekend (Feb. 9-10): Some things are much bigger than hockey. On Saturday, Feb. 9 and Sunday, Feb. 10, the Sound Tigers will continue their support in the fight against adult and pediatric cancers, beginning with a pre-game wine tasting on Feb. 9 that benefits several cancer foundations. Ticket packages are available that include a seat at the game, access to the tasting party and a commemorative t-shirt starting at $25. In addition, the Sound Tigers will recognize local survivors and pay tribute to those who have passed.
Hockey Weekend in Connecticut (Feb. 23-24): In conjunction with USA Hockey's national "Hockey Week Across America" campaign, the Sound Tigers will host their inaugural "Hockey Weekend in Connecticut" on Feb. 23 and 24. The first 1,000 kids (14 years of age or younger) will receive a youth replica jersey on Saturday, Feb. 23, while the first 2,500 fans will take home a soon-to-be-announced bobblehead on Sunday, Feb. 24. In addition, all fans are invited to meet notable players and coaches from Connecticut's rich hockey history both days.
Princess Night (Mar. 30): Meet popular fairy-tale princesses during the Sound Tigers' 7 p.m. matchup on Saturday, Mar. 30. Each princess will be available for pictures and autographs on the concourse and all fans can take advantage of special ticket packages that include access to the game and a light-up magic wand starting at $25.
Pucks and Paws (Mar. 31): The Sound Tigers encourage all fans to bring their dogs to the game on Sunday, Mar. 31 at 3 p.m. for Pucks and Paws Day. While fans may bring their own dogs, local animal rescue organizations will be on hand to showcase adoptable pets as well.
Marvel Night (Apr. 6): Meet Spiderman, Captain Marvel, Ant Man and Black Panther during the penultimate home game of the regular season. Your favorite comic book superheroes will be available for pictures and autographs on the concourse, and a $25 ticket package is available that includes access to the game and a voucher to see the newest Avengers movie at any Bow Tie Cinemas location.
