Soul QB Tony Graziani Named Offensive Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA -The Arena Football League announced today that Philadelphia Soul quarterback Tony Graziani was named as the League's Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against the Orlando Predators.

Graziani (6'3", 215, Oregon) helped lead the Soul to a 69-43 win over the Predators in their final game of the regular season. He completed 25-of-42 for 262 yards with six touchdowns despite two interceptions rushed for two scores. He finishes the regular season completing 225-of-362 for 2l,841 yards with 64 touchdowns in spite of missing four games while on the injured reserve list with a sprained left shoulder. Graziani and the Soul will take on the Predators this week once again in the National Conference Wild Card Round of the playoffs this Friday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m. live on ESPN.

This is the second time this season Graziani has received the Offensive Player of the Week award. The first time came after his performance in Week 4 against the Colorado Crush.

Along with Graziani, other players receiving league recognition for their play in Week 17 were Will Pettis of the Dallas Desperados, who was named Ironman of the Week and the Tampa Bay Storm's Jeroid Johnson, who was named ADT Defensive Player of the Week.
