Soo Eagles Return Home to Face Michigan Warriors

Soo Eagles News Release
The Soo Eagles will return home to the friendly confines of Pullar Stadium, as they will face the Michigan Warriors on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. If you can't make it to the Pullar, you can catch the action live or on-demand, at www.fasthockey.com.
The Eagles currently sit in sixth place in the North American Hockey League's North Division (9-14-5) and are 9 points behind Michigan (13-7-6), who resides in third place.
The Eagles are led in scoring by Mike Sabatini, who has eight goals and 9 assists this season. Ryan Urso is (4-11-15) while Bruno Birzitis is (7-7-14).
The Warriors are led is scoring by Jake Hopfner, who has 11 goals and 10 assists this season. Zack Szajner is (9-11-20) and Jon Farkas is (5-15-20).
These teams have met four times this season, with the Warriors holding a 2-1-1 record against the Eagles. After this weekend, the Eagles and Warriors will play six more times, four in Flint, including, December 19.
3rd Annual Bowl with the Eagles next Sunday
The 3rd Annual Bowl with the Eagles will be held next Sunday, December 15, from 6-8 p.m., at the DonDee Lanes, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Tickers are $10 per person, which includes three games of bowling, rental shoes, a 50/50 draw and free snacks & prizes. Tickets for this event may be purchased at The DonDee Lanes or by calling the Soo Eagles office, at 906-259-0522. All proceeds will be donated to the salvation army to support families in need, around the holidays. Last year we raised over $2000 and would like to raise even more in 2013.

Eagles earn a road split in Janesville The Soo Eagles earned a precious point in the standings, as they fell in a shootout to the Michigan Warriors on Wednesday night, at Pullar Stadium. Here is a recap of the latest action.
Janesville Jets 4, Soo Eagles 1 - Saturday, December 7, 2013
The Janesville Jets scored two first period goals, and earned a split of the weekend series, defeating the Soo Eagles, 4-1 on Saturday night in Janesville. Nick Belger scored the only goal for the Soo Eagles. Colin Brennan made 10 saves for the Soo Eagles.
Soo Eagles 4, Janesville Jets 3 - Friday, December 6, 2013
The Soo Eagles stormed out to a 4-1 lead on Friday night, and hung on, to record a 4-3 victory over the Janesville Jets. Mike Sabatini, Nick Belger, Michael Caruso and Chase Matson had the goals for the Soo Eagles. Colin Brennan made 27 saves to earn the victory for the Soo Eagles.
