Stalking The Leader: The Orlando Seals begin a four game home stand tonight (one of three four game homestands this season, their longest of the year), taking on the first place Jacksonville Barracudas.

Records: The Seals are 15-5-2 with 32 points in second place in WHA2.

Jacksonville is 17-5-1 with 35 points in first place in WHA2.

Season Series: This is the fourth meeting of the season between the Seals and Jacksonville and all three previous games were decided by one goal, one in overtime and one in a shootout. The Seals won 3-2 in Orlando on December 20th, and 1-0 in overtime on December 26th in Orlando. Jacksonville won 2-1 in a shootout in Jacksonville on January 2nd.

Recent Results: Both teams are coming off wins last night. The Seals posted their largest win of the season, with a 6-0 win in Lakeland. Jacksonville ran its winning streak to six with a 5-2 win in Macon.

Power Play: Seals 19-109 17.4% 4th Jacksonville 21-105 20.0% 3rd

Penalty Kill: Seals 74-91 81.3% 2nd Jacksonville 83-107 77.6% 6th

Sizzlers: Both of these teams have been red hot through the month of December and now January. Jacksonville has won 14 of its last 18 games and one of the losses was in overtime, giving the Barracudas 29 of a possible 36 points (.805) in the stretch. The Seals have won 12 of their last 16 games, and two of those four losses were in shootouts giving them 26 of a possible 32 points (.813) in that stretch of games.

Roster Moves: The Seals have activated Mike Sanderson from the seven day injured reserve list, and have place center Jerry Keefe on the seven day injured reserve list. Joe Pecoraro is also doubtful for tonight's game with a knee injury.
