
Barracudas Win Streak Ends at Six

ORLANDO, Fla. â Shorthanded, bruised and banged up, the Barracudas limped into Orlando and saw their six-game winning streak snapped with a 4-1 loss to the Seals.
After a scoreless first period, Orlando's Jason Elders got the Seals on the board first at 5:15 of the second period. Then 52 seconds later, former Barracudas captain Mike Sanderson netted the eventual game winner.
Chris Hackett cut the lead to one with his goal 39 seconds into the third period, but two Orlando goals just 34 seconds apart by Brad Federenko and Ryan Anderson sealed it the Orlando.
Seals goaltender David Goverde showed again why he was named to the WHA2 All-Star Game stopping 33 shots. Robb Stauber with 24 saves took the loss.
The Barracudas are in action again tomorrow night at the Veteran's Memorial Arena to face the Miami Manatees. Face-off time is a special 6:05 start. It's Family Night and you can buy four great lower-bowl seats, get four Cudas hats, for only $49.00.
Jacksonville will be the host city for the Inaugural WHA2 All-Star Game on Tuesday, January 27th. "Hockey on the River" will feature the Jacksonville Barracudas hosting the best of what the WHA2 has to offer. Mike Eruzione, captain of the "Miracle on Ice" 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team, will be on hand for the All-Star Game festivities.
