Waterloo Black Hawks News Release

Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Black Hawks' next home game Sunday will be the team's Dirty Jobs Game, providing an opportunity for some of the hardest workers in the Cedar Valley to enjoy afternoon hockey against the Youngstown Phantoms.

The first Sunday matchup at Young Arena in 2024 will begin at 3:05. In recent weeks, the Black Hawks have reached out to dozens of qualifying northeast Iowa companies with a special ticket offer. The basic rule of thumb: the work is necessary but typically underappreciated and often the type of job most people can't (or won't) do themselves.

"We want this to be a fun day, and I know many of the people who work the hardest in the Cedar Valley are our biggest fans," said Black Hawks President and COO Joe Greene. "If we've missed your business, have your manager or HR person give us a call."

The Black Hawks will have a team of experts size up those requests to be included. The Hawks will provide more ticket details and a special offer code to businesses that meet the Dirty Jobs threshold.

Whether you work a dirty job or not, everyone aged 21 and over can enjoy a Bloody Mary bar and bottomless mimosas in the Coors Light Cold Zone Sunday.

The first 250 kids in attendance for the contest against Youngstown will receive a Black Hawks cowbell, presented by Chick-fil-A. After the game, enjoy a free postgame skate and autograph session with Black Hawks players. Limited quantities of skates will be available on loan; fans are also encouraged to bring their own.

Tickets for Sunday's game between the Black Hawks and Phantoms are available by calling the Domino's Black Hawks Box Office at (319) 291-7680 or from tickets.waterlooblackhawks.com.
