INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The Louisville Bats looked impressive both on the mound and at the plate with a 6-1 win at Victory Park against the Indianapolis Indians Thursday. This is the fourth straight game that the Bats have allowed one run or less, winning three of those four and improving to (4-4) on the season.

RHP Michael Lorenzen (2-0) continued off of his very successful debut last Saturday to get his second win of the season. He gave up just one run, a home run in the fourth inning by Deibinson Romero. This is the first run given up by Lorenzen in 13.0 innings this season.

For the Bats offense, Ivan De Jesus Jr. continued to heat up this year by extending his hitting streak to 7 games as he was 2-for-4. He is hitting a remarkable 11-for-23 on the season. Josh Satin was also strong in the box going 2-for-2 with 4 RBI. Irving Falu collected three hits for the Bats.

RHP Chris Volstad (1-1) took the loss for the Indians (3-5). After allowing the first two batters to hit and score he did not recover. He allowed 8 of the eleven Bats hits.

Outside of Romero's home run the Indians could not get much going offensively. The home run by Romero was just the second given up this season by the Bats and the first since opening night. Hanson and Lombardozzi contributed to the Indians offense with two hits each.

Louisville and Indianapolis will meet again tomorrow at Victory Field; a 7:15 p.m. start, for the final of three games in Indy before coming back to Louisville to finish the five-game split series. RHP Raisel Iglesias (0-0, 5.40 w/CIN) will start on the mound for the Bats to face off against RHP Sadler (NR) for the Indians.
