Austin Bruins News Release
Blaine, MN- The third day of the North American Hockey League showcase started early Friday morning as the Bruins faced off against the Janesville Jets. Janesville was an expansion team last season and had success as they won 29 games in a very talented North Division. The first period both teams went scoreless as play was dead even. The second period Janesville scored two goals as Ross Pavek got things sparked for the Jets. Austin spent most of their time in the penalty box the remainder of the game. Austin unfortunately couldn't get anything flowing on special teams as they failed to score on the power play five times. So far in the showcase the Bruins have faced some of the best teams in the North American Hockey League. Saturday morning it doesn't get any easier as the Bruins will play the four time Robertson Cup Champions the Texas Tornado. Game time is scheduled for 9:15 tomorrow morning as the bruins will attempt to rebound.
