Sockers and Sintesis TV Partner to Bring Home Game Broadcasts to the Baja California Region

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Sockers and Sintesis TV today announced a joint agreement to re-broadcast Sockers home matches in Spanish for the remainder of the 2018-19 MASL regular season over the air and on the Twitch streaming platform. The agreement covers four of the team's final five home matches to be re- broadcast.
"We are excited to pair up with Sintesis to increase the exposure of the San Diego Sockers south of the border with our brethren in Tijuana", said Sockers general manager Sean Bowers of the agreement, "With so many Tijuanense on our club already, it's a natural fit to give fans in Tijuana the chance to cheer on the Sockers on TV, and to inspire them to cross the border and attend a match."
Beginning with the Sockers' March 1 match against the Turlock Express, Sintesis TV will re-air the Sockers broadcast the following day, utilizing Spanish language announcers Osvaldo Samaniego and Omar Castro. Sintesis TV CEO Arturo Bustamante Aubanel stated, "I am thrilled that we are partnering with the San Diego Sockers, a great and historic franchise, to broadcast their home games on our station channel 50.4 in San Diego and Baja California, and on our IZZI cable channel 71. Broadcasting Sockers games to both communities reaffirm that we are two cities and one region that are united."

With the Sintesis TV Spanish-language telecast deal, the Sockers have the MASL's most extensive broadcast coverage with games live streaming on MASL.tv, airing nationally on Eleven Sports and the Eleven Sports Twitch platform, and re-airing of home games on YurView San Diego, YurView California, and YurView Las Vegas.
The Sockers begin a three-game homestand on Friday, March 1, 7:35 p.m. against the Turlock Express with Landon Donovan playing in his second career MASL match. It will also be Honoring Heroes Night, as the team will honor and celebrate local military, police, fire, EMS personnel, and teachers for their work.
