Snow to AAA Tacoma, Hernandez Reinstated from DL

JACKSON, TENN. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster move that affects the Generals roster. RHP Forrest Snow has been promoted again to Triple-A Tacoma and RHP Moises Hernandez has been reinstated from the Jackson disabled list. The moves are made prior to tonight's series opener in Jackson against the Mobile BayBears.

Snow, 25, will make his second stint with the Rainiers this season. Snow was added to Jackson's roster on 5/31 and then was promoted to Tacoma for the first time on June 13. Snow returned to Jackson on June 20. In 2 games, 1 start with Tacoma Snow is 0-1 with a 1.50 ERA in 6.0 IP with no walks and 6 strikeouts. With the Generals, Snow is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in 4 games, 2 starts over 16.1 IP with 4 walks and 14 strikeouts. Snow was Seattle's 36th round draft choice in 2010 out of the University of Washington.

Hernandez, 30, has been reinstated from the disabled list. This was his third stint on the DL this season (shoulder tightness). In 15 games, 1 start for Jackson he is 0-4, with a 6.19 ERA in 32.0 IP with 9 walks and 18 strikeouts. Hernandez was signed by Seattle as a free agent in 2011. Hernadez was acquired by the Atlanta Braves on Feb. 11, 2006 from the Baltimore Orioles as compensation for Baltimore signing pitching coach Leo Mazzone.
