Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
Fort Worth- A new face has been added to the Fort Worth Brahmas management team, as Ryan Snider has been named as the club's new Assistant General Manager.
Snider succeeds Dave McLain as the Brahmas' second in command. McLain left the Brahmas to pursue personal and professional opportunities in his native state of Pennsylvania.
Snider, a 30 year old native of Star Lake, New York, comes to the Brahmas with extensive experience in sports management and marketing. He has worked primarily in the college sports arena, holding executive positions at three East Coast NCAA Division I schools. From December 1996 to August 1999, he served as the Director of Ticket Sales and the Marketing/Events Coordinator at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. From August 1999 to June 2000, he was the Athletic Marketing and Promotions Coordinator and Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Snider also worked for just over a year, June 2001 to August 2002, as the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
In addition to his professional experience in college sports, Snider has held positions with Christini Technologies, a Pennsylvania based All Wheel Drive Mountain Bike company, and Skyhawks Sports Academy in Boston, Massachusetts.
Snider is earned his MBA in May of 2004 from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management in May of 1996 from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.
As Assistant General Manager for the Brahmas, Snider's primary job responsibilities include overseeing all of the team's financial activities, working as a liason between the Brahmas and the Fort Worth Convention Center, and assisting in all day to day operational aspects of the Brahmas' sales, marketing, public relations, merchandising, and hockey operations efforts.
Snider will work closely with Mike Barack, the Brahmas' general manager. Barack is excited to have Snider on board.
"We are going to miss Dave, as he did an outstanding job for us, but we are definitely excited to have Ryan as a part of our organization," Barack said.
Snider has been with the team for the last month and has now officially taken over the position.
