Tulsa Oilers News Release
At this rate, the Tulsa Oilers will have a complete roster by the end of next week! Today Tulsa signed their second player in as many days, and eighth overall, adding Left Winger Olivier Maltais.
The 5'11", 203 pounder has been consistent over the last two seasons scoring 32 points in both. Last year Maltais played for HC Morzine in France ending the year with 15 goals and 17 assists. For the '02-'03 season he split time in the QSPHL with Sorel Royaux and St. Georges-de-Beuce Gar scoring 14 goals with 18 assists.
"Olivier comes from great stock. He's a rookie we'll really be counting on this season... he really fits the mold of our new squad: great speed and great talent," says Oilers coach Butch Kaebel.
The 22 year old has 95 points since 1998 in the QMJHL and QSPHL and French Division One hockey.
Tulsa Oilers training camp opens early October. The Central Hockey League schedule is less than a week from being released.
