Beloit Sky Carp News Release

Every year Snappy takes time out of his busy schedule and upcoming season preparation to visit local schools to help promote his reading club. Snappy understands the importance of reading and knows that sometimes it takes a little bit of extra motivation to get going.

McDonald's™ will be once again the proud sponsor of Snappy's reading club by providing great prizes for the students. Each time a student hits a certain base they will receive a prize from the Snappers and McDonald's™. Schools have the ability to set their own criteria and goals. The prizes are as followed:

1st base - Snappers pencil/small soft drink from McDonald's™

2nd base - Snappers bookmark/small fry from McDonald's™

3rd base - Ticket to a Snappers home game/hamburger from McDonald's™

Home - Snappers ½ Price Pass to All 2009 Regular Season Home Games/ Dessert from McDonald's™

Schools are also given the option, on a first-come-first-serve basis, to have Snappy come out and help promote the program to their students. Members of the Snappers baseball team may also be available to come out and encourage the importance of reading. All appearances are based on availability.

Any school interested in participating in Snappy's reading program should contact Marcus Jacobs at 608-362-2272, mjacobs@snappersbaseball.com, or stop by Pohlman Field located at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit.

Ticket packages for the 2009 season are now available with plenty of perks to go along with them. Contact a Snappers' representative at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit, 608-362-2272, or www.snappersbaseball.com for more information.
