Smokies to Host ETBCA East Tennessee High School All-Star Game

SEVIERVILLE - The Tennessee Smokies have announced that they will be hosting the East Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (ETBCA) East Tennessee High School All-Star Game on Saturday, June 2 at Smokies Stadium. The event will feature some of the top high school baseball players around the East Tennessee area. A full roster can be found attached to this press release.

The All-Star Game will feature a homerun derby beginning at 3:30 p.m. The players will then play the All-Star game beginning at approximately 4:00 p.m. featuring a Region 1 team and a Region 2 team.

Following the conclusion of the All-Star Game, two coaches will be inducted into the ETBCA Hall of Fame. The inductees will be Matt Buckner from Farragut High School and Mark Garrison from Oak Ridge High School. The ETBCA will also recognize the 2018 All Association Team, Coach of the Year, and the finalists for the Player of the Year.

The Smokies will be recognizing the All-Star Game MVP and the Homerun Derby champion at the end of the 1st inning of the Smokies and BayBears game on Saturday evening.

Gates will open at 3:00 p.m., and fans who have purchased tickets for the 7:00 p.m. Smokies game can use their ticket to enter for the East Tennessee High School All-Star Game.

The Smokies will face the Mobile BayBears on Saturday night presented by TIS Insurance. The night will feature post-game fireworks as part of the Summer Fireworks Series presented by Coors Light and Pepsi following the game.
