Sevierville, Tenn.- Tennessee scored seven times in the eighth inning to pull off a come from behind 15-9 win and a series sweep against Chattanooga.
Trailing 9-8, Tennessee jumped on reliever David Shafer (0-1). Adam Haley delivered a run scoring pinch single to tie the game, and Marland Williams followed with a single to put Tennessee ahead 10-9. Jesus Cota added a three-run homer as the Smokies ran their record against Chattanooga to 6-0 this season.
Doug Slaten (2-2) tossed two scoreless innings for the win.
Following an off day on Thursday, the Smokies head to Carolina to open a three-game series. RHP Adam Bass (1-3, 4.23) will start for Tennessee against RHP Yorman Bazardo (3-2, 3.65).
