Smile: Rush Set to Support Operation Smile

February 24, 2020 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Saskatchewan Rush News Release

Saskatoon, SK - As the Saskatchewan Rush return home this Saturday following road wins in Halifax and Philadelphia, Rush Nation has more than one reason to smile.

This Saturday on Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre, there will be extra incentive for both the Saskatchewan Rush and Toronto Rock to rack up goals. For every Saskatchewan goal, the Rush organization will donate $260 to Operation Smile Canada. For every Toronto goal, the Rock organization will donate $100 to Operation Smile Canada.

In addition to the on-field stakes, fans can purchase green balls on the concourse for the Half Time Ball Toss for their chance to win amazing prizes. All fans are also encouraged to bring a toonie to the game. Operation Smile volunteers will be located at all entrances to collect change.

About Operation Smile Canada: Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate. Annually, that is an estimated 175,200 children world-wide. Without corrective surgery, as many as 9 in 10 children born with cleft conditions could die. Operation Smile exists to make sure everyone gets the safe corrective surgery they need wherever they live in the world. It is surgery that changes a child's life forever...and it changes families, communities, countries, regions and yes, the world.
