
Slammers Take on Orlando this Weekend

COMING UP
The Slammers host the Orlando Seals at the Pelham Civic Complex this Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th, at 7:05 pm. On Friday, the first 1,000 fans shall receive a free Slammers action photo courtesy of CDM. Saturday night is FOX 6 Family Night where fans can purchase a Family Pack that includes 4 game tickets (lower level), 4 hot dogs, and 4 soft drinks for only $39.00. Tickets are available at the door, by calling the Slammers at 328-PUCK (7825) or Ticketmaster at 715-6000. All games can be heard on www.irn.fm.
THIS SEASON
After starting the season 0-2-2, the Slammers have won four straight, sweeping Lakeland last week by scores of 5-4, 4-2, 5-4 and 3-1. The four victories have moved Alabama into sole possession of second place in the WHA2, 1 point behind first-place Miami.
IN THE COMMUNITY
- Slammers players Jason Renard and Bobby Quinnell will make an appearance at Blockbuster (248 Green Springs Hwy) to participate in the "Live in the X Lounge" with 107.7 the X on Friday, December 5th at 8:30 a.m.
- Slammers players, team mascot "Hammer", and the Slammer Girls will participate in the Alabaster Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6th.
- Slammers players and staff will visit the Children's Hospital on Monday, December 8th. They will play games, read stories, sign autographs, take pictures and personally invite all the children and their families out to an upcoming Slammers home game.
TOYS FOR TOTS
The Alabama Slammers, with the assistance of the U.S. Marine Corp, will be collecting new and unwrapped toys prior to their games with the Orlando Seals December 5th and 6th. Fans are encouraged to drop off toys intended for the Toys For Tots program as they enter the Pelham Civic Complex for the 7:05 p.m. games. The Slammers will conclude the Toys For Tots drive on Saturday, December 20th with the teams 1st ever Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to the game and toss it on the ice when the Slammers score their first goal. All the stuffed animals will be collected and given to charity on behalf of the Alabama Slammers and the US Marines.
SANTA PACKS
The Slammers are offering fans a special Santa Pack ticket package. A great holiday gift idea, Santa Packs include ten ticket vouchers that allow fans to choose any game they like from the Slammers home schedule. Santa Packs are available at the Slammers Merchandise Kiosk at the Riverchase Galleria, the Slammers merchandise kiosk during game nights, or the Slammers office located at the Pelham Civic Complex.
