
Alabama Slammers cease operations

Alabama Slammers News Release
Pelham, AL âThe Alabama Slammers announced today that the franchise will suspend operations, effective immediately. The suspension of the franchise comes as a result of the Slammers being unable to secure a lease at the Pelham Civic Complex for the upcoming 2004-05 season.
The Slammers organization would like to thank the team's fans, corporate sponsors, and the great people in the Birmingham community for the tremendous support the team received last season.
The organization is planning an orderly end to business so as to accommodate the team's season ticket holders, supporters and sponsors.
Fans that have made deposits on season ticket for the 2004-05 season can request a refund by contacting the Alabama Slammers at (205) 328-7825 or by emailing the team at slammershockey@aol.com.
