Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the Traverse City Beach Bums 7-0 Saturday night.
The Slammers started quickly with Trey Fulton reaching on an error that brought home LJ Kalawaia in the bottom of the first. Justin Garcia then added a home run in the bottom of the 2nd stretching the lead to 2-0.
Ridge Hoopii-Haslam hit a two-run double and then Garcia doubled home Fulton in the bottom of the third making it 5-0 Slammers.
Chaz Meadows and Justin Garcia both hit solo home runs giving the Slammers a 7-0 lead.
Tonight's Merchants and Manufacturers Player of the Game is Liam O'Sullivan who threw a complete game shutout striking out five.
Joliet returns tomorrow at 1:05 to conclude their series vs. Traverse City.
