Slammerpalooza Is Coming on August 14
JOLIET, IL - The Slammers are excited to announce an end of summer extravaganza - SLAMMERPALOOZA. Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes (including cash), manage the game (yes, manage the game), run the bases, get autographs, get free candy, and one lucky fan could win $50,000 - all on August 14 at the Slammers game vs. the Washington Wild Things. And, tickets for the game are just $5 and it's Weiner Wednesday with $1 hot dogs as well. It's sure to be a crazy night at DuPage Medical Group Field.
The first 2500 fans to enter the gates will receive a Scratch and Win Card and EVERY card will be a winner. Prizes include tickets and food items for the 2020 season, an invitation to fan batting practice, a suite for 2020, and 100 lucky tickets will be for cash prizes. Slammerpalooza will be a great night for our young fans. Kids can enjoy bounce houses provided by Channahon General Rental and participate in a post game candy run presented by Ferrara.
Slammers fans will also have the opportunity to help Manager Jeff Isom make in game decisions. In a modern take on Bill Veeck's St. Louis Browns Grandstand Manager's Night in 1951 (you can look it up), select fans will get to make in-game decisions for the Slammers. However, the Slammers can neither confirm or deny the rumor Jeff's job may be on the line if the fans outperform him in this game.
AND, one fan will have a chance to win $50,000! If the Slammers hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning on August 14, one fan's name will be pulled from our magic prize drum and that fan will win $50,000.
Fans can purchase tickets by visiting www.jolietslammers.com or by calling 815-722-2287. We recommend buying tickets early to guarantee a seat and a chance to win the $50,000 prize.
