Little Rock (Thursday, December 9, 2004)- The Arkansas RimRockers announced their mascot, Slam Dunk, will attend the United Way Children's Holiday Dinner on Thursday, December 16, at the Peabody Hotel. The dinner will be held upstairs in the ballroom from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Slam Dunk will be on hand to entertain the children and sign autographs during the luncheon. Approximately 415 children from the Little Rock, North Little Rock and Pulaski County School Districts have been selected by their school counselors to participate in the magical holiday dinner catered by the Peabody.

"We look forward to visiting with the children," Emily Wade, Director of Community Relations, said. "Not only is this a special opportunity for the children, but for us as well. It will help spread a little pre-Christmas cheer for all involved."

The Arkansas RimRockers, owned by Larry Crain Sr., play all home games in Alltel Arena. Tickets for RimRocker games can be purchased by calling 501-975-7575. The American Basketball Association season runs from November through March with playoffs beginning in April.
