RimRockers Rob the Tycoons - Keep Record Perfect

December 9, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Arkansas RimRockers News Release

Little Rock, AR. The Arkansas RimRockers had their most productive half of the season, scoring 72 points in just two quarters. Every RimRocker contributed points with Scotty Thurman leading the way with 29; Shawnson Johnson added 17; Daryan Selvy and Gee Gervin both contributed 16; and Kareem Reid and Marco Cole each had 14 points.

The Tycoons took an early lead but were unable to maintain it for long as the RimRockers quickly took control of the game. Shawnson Johnson came out ready to play physical, winning the tip-off for the RimRockers and continuing to dominate all shots under the basket, finishing with 13 points at the half. Selvy hit 5 of 7 shots with two back-to-back three pointers in the first quarter, while Thurman was flawless in the second quarter, going 5 of 7 from the three-point line.

Texas stepped up the defense in the second half but were unable to contain the RimRockers. The Tycoons were unsuccessful in their efforts to show the RimRockers' growing lead as Arkansas topped the 100-point mark in the third quarter. The RimRockers dominated much of the game by making controlled passes and calculated shots and the payoff was a solid win over the Tycoons and a perfect record of 6-0. Next up for the RimRockers will be the Carolina Thunder on Friday, December 10 at Alltel Arena. Tipoff is set for 7PM.
